Overview

Job Description: The Vendor Risk Analyst will be responsible for supporting the range of program and review activities in the newly formed Vendor Risk Management (VRM) organization for reporting directly to the Program Lead. The VRM organization is responsible for coordinating and leveraging existing vendor risk management expertise within the firm to form a holistic and fully comprehensive approach to managing the risks associated with client vendors. This includes the ongoing development and deployment of a vendor risk management framework, procedures, and supporting technologies. This individual will interact regularly with Finance/Procurement, Legal & Compliance, Information Security, Physical Security, as well as Client business unit managers, to ensure applicable risks are properly managed.

Responsibilities:

 Conduct the initial risk assessments for new vendors and coordinate ongoing reviews

 Help resolve risk exceptions and escalations

 Coordinate ongoing reviews and open issues with Specialist Risk Groups (e.g., Compliance, HR, Information Security)

 Provide regular updates to the VRM Program Lead and Program Manager

 Track key mitigating actions and actively participate in required forums to address issues

 Support business units through VRM processes, including the oversight of vendor performance management

 Provide updates to the vendor risk database and send / track reminders to specialist risk groups for periodic reviews

 Ensure ongoing risk issues are well documented

Qualifications: Candidates should exhibit strong technical, analytical, and project management skills as well as exceptional communication skills. Candidates should be energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented individuals who are ready to support the increasing maturity of the program.

 Minimum of five to six years of vendor or other third party-related risk management experience, such as compliance, financial, or operational risk, preferably within the financial services industry

 Good analytical skills

 Ability to communicate effectively with business partners

 Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships throughout the firm

 Ability to multitask and complete difficult assignments with tight deadlines

 BS/BA required, preferably Business, Finance, Risk Management, or Technology
